This 14 karat yellow gold oval shaped antique brooch contains an oval cabochon banded agate centerstone bordered by 25 seed pearls. On the back it is dated January 25, 1861. The name Julia Overing Sturgis is engraved and a lock of hair is stored under glass. It measures 1 inch in length and 1 5/16 inches wide.
